Arisu is an Emmy-winning designer and director based in New York. Born in Japan and raised in Los Angeles, Arisu graduated from Yale University in 2005 with her B.A. in Fine Arts Graphic Design. Post graduation, she joined Imaginary Forces in New York as staff designer, and in 2007 started her freelance career. 

In 2017, Arisu won an Emmy for Outstanding Main Title Design for Netflix's Stranger Things. She has previously earned an Emmy nomination for her illustration and design work for the opening titles of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, which was also awarded PromaxBDA Gold for Art Direction & Design in Program Open/Titles. Arisu was featured in Art of The Title as one of 10 Women of Title Design of 2017.

Arisu has directed digital video installations for clients such as Prada, Mr. Porter, USA Networks, and NYCxDesign. Her designs have been seen in large scale video installations for Johnny Walker and LA Opera. She has also designed video game cinematics for Sony Playstation’s God of War III. In the advertising and broadcast world, she has designed the 2018 90th Oscars branding package, commercials including Sapporo and The UPS Store, and branding for The Science Channel, PBS, and NHL.
